The Barony of Caerthe publishes and distributes a monthly newsletter called The Fortress. It is available from the Chronicler for $12.50 per year (12 issues), checks payable to SCA-CAERTHE and sent to the Chronicler:

The Fortress accepts submissions of information from members of The Barony of Caerthe to include, but not limited to: SCA event information, Baronial officer reports, Baronial guild information, Baronial heavy weapons/fencing/archery information, Canton officer contacts and practice information, information pertaining to the members and history of the SCA/Kingdoms/Baronies as well as history information relating to the area of historical study of the SCA. 

Original artwork and photos are gladly accepted with appropriate copyright and model/photographer/artist releases.

The Fortress may return any submission that mentions or implies anything illegal or not in the spirit of the Current Middle Ages such as items not concerning the SCA and/or not of interest to SCA members.

Submission deadline is the 15th of the previous month.

The Fortress is not a corporate publication of the Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc. and does not delineate SCA policies.
